Moderator, Mental Health Advocate, Singapore
Nawira is driven by her purpose 'to heal and help heal'. With 12 years of experience in mental health advocacy, she advocates recovery and wellness for all — individuals, communities, organisations, and nations. She is passionate about developing trauma and culturally informed mental healthcare and support services in Singapore and beyond. Her areas of interest are youth mental health and women’s wellness. Leveraging a background in communications and also her current academic pursuit of psychology, she hopes to bring forth ‘voices unheard’ to shape narratives, co-create solutions and influence public discourse on mental health and stigma. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Peer Supporters (USA) and the Youth Advisory Board of the International Association of Premenstrual Disorders.
